Aphrodite

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, ferity and desire. Roman name Venus. She is the daughter of Zeus and Dione.She was born when Uranus the father of the gods was castrated by his son Cronus threw the served genitals into the ocean which began to churn and foam about them a rose Aphrodite. Her symbols are Rose, Scallop shell, Myrtle, Dove, Sparrow and Swan. Her   children were Cupid known as Eros. Because of her beauty other gods feared that jealousy would interrupt the peace among them and lead to war so Zeus made her marry Hephaestus. Aphrodite loved many mortals and many mortals and gods loved her.  Aphrodite was originally an old-Asian goddess. Ares and Aphrodite loved each other when she was married to Hephaestus. When the Trojan prince Paris was asked to judge which of the three Olympian goddesses was most beautiful out of Aphrodite, Athena and Hera and of Corse Aphrodite was the most beautiful. Later the two had hopped to bribe him with power and victory in battle, But Aphrodite offered the love of the most beautiful woman in the world. Aphrodite was loyal to the Paris and the Trojans.
