Athena is the warrior goddess and the goddess of wisdom, the arts, industry, justice, and skill. When Zeus had a headache the very skilled Hephaustus cut open Zeus' head and athena popped out already an adult in full battle armor, ever since she has been the goddess of warriors. She was Zeus' favorite child. Her mother was Metis, Zeus' first wife. Athena and Poisedon were once fond of a certain city in greece. they both claimed it. they agreed that the one who gave it the finest gift would have it. Athena gave it the most fine gift (an olive tree) then named the city Athens. the most used expression to describe her is bright eyed. Athena is also called the mind of god. Athena had no children. Athena is known as one of the three virgin goddesses, they were referred to as virgin because they were able to remain independent. When she was born immediatly he knew it wasn't the son he feared, it was athena and she became the apple of her father's eye. Athena's Roman name is Minerva. Athena's symbol is an owl. Athena's weapon is a spear and a sheild with medusa's head. Athena has a silver throne, with golden basketwork at the back of it and a crown of violets, and its armrest's ended in grinning gorgon heads.
